Following the Grenfell Tower tragedy, new legislation was introduced in October 2023, making Business owners/Managers responsible for the fire safety of their premises.  Initially this legislation was aimed at multi-occupancy properties, i.e. Care homes, HMO’s, Schools, etc. but now more recent legislation, means ‘any’ business owner with an office, is also responsible for the fire prevention in that  office and the safety of the people who work there. 

 As a result of this, many business owners are at risk of being fined, or closed-down, if they don’t adhere to the new rules and put proper fire prevention measures in place.

Unfortunately, desperation to put necessary measures in, and a lack of knowledge, is meaning that many are paying far too much money for these services and to keep their businesses legal and safe.
